TEACHING

I teach broadly about the history, politics, and philosophy of music and sound and have designed and taught a wide range of courses on these topics. I have many years of experience in university-level teaching of graduate and undergraduate students, from large classrooms of 100+ people to seminars and individual mentorship. Teaching about music or sound is about communicating one's listening to another, and finding the language to negotiate between the things we hear and the things we can name; the process of doing this is always implicitly political, and it is always somehow magical.

In the following pages you will find a selection of my courses, recorded lectures, and teaching reviews
