I am a bilingual writer and reader (Italian and English) and translation has always been important to me. In an academic setting, I hope my translation allow for increased communication between Anglophone and Italian scholarship, with their different and evolving sensibilities. High-level scholarship should surpass national boundaries and academic fashions, and a good translation allows for that important process of de-provincialization.
